Location: Kuala Lumpur
Duration: 8 – 12 months (as per PROTÉGÉ programme)
Allowance: RM2,000/month (recommended minimum, per HRD Corp)

As part of the PROTÉGÉ-RTW (Ready-To-Work) programme, the trainee will gain structured on-the-job exposure in the field of construction project management. The trainee will assist in daily site operations, project documentation, coordination with stakeholders, and compliance monitoring. The goal is to equip the graduate with industry-relevant skills and improve employability in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in site supervision and monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Support project engineers and site managers in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and workers.
• Participate in progress reporting, site meetings, and preparation of technical documents (e.g., site diary, method statements, inspection forms).
• Help in tracking project milestones, material usage, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure basic health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices are followed at site.
• Assist with document control, filing, and internal project communication.
• Learn and apply knowledge of construction drawings, contract documents, and project quality standards.
• Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the project or site supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or unemployed graduates (≤12 months since graduation) 
• Highly motivated with strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standard.
